We’re excited to show you a glimpse of our new branding, but what it represents has been in the works for a long time. We’ve always believed in purpose over permission. In building rooms where people can finally stretch out. In pouring when nobody was watching. In creating something rooted in the belief that Charlotte’s talent doesn’t need saving. It needs space.

Do Greater, Inc. is, and always will be, the foundation—the mission, the engine, the work.  Sparkhouse Charlotte at Do Greater is what rises from that foundation. What started as Creative Labs are becoming Houses of Opportunity—open doors, high ceilings, and room for entrepreneurs to find their footing, creators to find their people, and underestimated talent to discover what it’s actually capable of.

We didn’t change the names of our spaces to start over. We changed them because we’ve been building toward this all along. This new branding isn’t a fresh coat of paint. It’s a reflection of where we’re headed and what we’ve always been building. This is a house for ambition that’s been told to wait. A house for talent that’s been overlooked. A house for Charlotte, built by Charlotte.

The doors open Uptown on Juneteenth 2026. They are already open at Sparkhouse West, 2400 Greenland Avenue.

Come through.

What We’re Building

Sparkhouse Charlotte Uptown is a 20,000-square-foot innovation and entrepreneurship hub located inside a historic 1921 automobile showroom at 500 North Tryon Street. It’s designed to be more than just a building; it serves as an engine for opportunity. The building is owned and supported by former Mayor Harvey Gantt, who has been an incredible champion. His enthusiasm for seeing it become a hub for mobility and opportunity has been truly inspiring.

Inside Sparkhouse, we’re creating spaces that move people from potential to purpose:

New Coffee Shop

A youth-powered coffee shop and gathering spot for community and conversation honoring the neighborhoods that shaped Charlotte.

New Entrepreneurial Support Center

Empowering founders and small-business builders from Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity.

Innovation & Tech Lab

Introducing youth to AI, design thinking, and emerging technologies.

Creative Digital Studio

A production space for storytelling, podcasting, and digital media.

Screen Printing Hub

A real-world screen-printing business offering training and income for young creatives.

The City Showroom

A safe, creative space for collaboration, co-learning, events, music and presentations.

Maker Space

A Maker Space for developing innovation prototypes.

Every space serves one mission—to build cross-class connections that power economic mobility. Sparkhouse will connect youth from underestimated neighborhoods to the mentors, innovators, and industries that shape our city’s future.

Why it Matters

In a city working hard to climb the ranks of upward mobility, spaces like this are essential infrastructure.  Sparkhouse Uptown at Do Greater is more than walls—it’s a bridge. It’s where creativity meets community, where hope turns into action, and where opportunity becomes tangible.

Our goal has never been to just build programs. It’s to build platforms for potential where young people can discover their value, practice their craft, and see themselves as part of something

Thank You to Our Partners

This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our capital partners and community champions. Each of you has helped us move this vision forward by investing in a future where creativity is the spark for mobility, and where every young person in Charlotte has a reason to believe that up starts here.

We can’t wait to welcome you into the space soon. Until then, thank you for believing in the power of doing greater together.
