Start Upward Essentials is a 10-week after-school program for teens ready to transform their passions into real-world action! Through hands-on activities, inspiring guest speakers, and creative challenges, students will learn to dream big, take risks, and launch their ideas with confidence.  Program will meet each Monday,  February 24 -May 19, 4:00-6:00pm.

Students will leave Start Upward with:

• The skills to start and pitch their business
• Confidence to turn their ideas into reality
• Tools to articulate and refine their vision
• Clear next steps to bring their idea to life

Discover the power of podcasting in this 10-week after-school program designed for teens eager to explore creative storytelling and audio production. Students will learn how to craft compelling stories, develop engaging content, and bring your ideas to life through the art of podcasting.  Program will meet each Tuesday,  February 18-May 20, 4:00-6:00pm.

Students will:

• Learn skills in podcast production, including technical, creative, and managerial aspects
• Develop teamwork and communication skills by rotating roles in the production process
• Get real-world mentorship through guest speakers and industry connections
• Have creative ownership over podcast topics, guests, and more.

Do Greater Charlotte and Arts+ are partnering to teach 7th through 10th-grade students how to design, make, and sell their own products! The program is called Design to Dollars and  will culminate with a pop-up market and the students will get to keep all the revenue they make from their sales!

The program will start March 5, and meet each Wednedsay through May 21 from 4:00-5:30pm.

Studio Hours offers students dedicated studio time to explore their creativity with access to state of the art technology.  This program allows students to use the Creative Lab for photography, music production, graphic design, or to craft custom tote bags or shirts— helping bring your ideas to life. Studio Hours will extend to Tuesday and Thursday, February 4th, 3-6pm each week.
